* lisp/gnus/gnus-ems.el (gnus-mule-max-width-function): Remove.

* lisp/gnus/gnus-util.el (gnus-kill-all-overlays): Move here.

* lisp/gnus/gnus.el (gnus-mode-line-modified): Remove.
